Discrete Time, Cost and Quality Trade-Off Problem with Renewable and Nonrenewable Resources

چکیده
The discrete time –cost trade-off problem (DTCTP) is one of the main aspects of project scheduling. In DTCTP , we treat cost as a non-renewable resource and the availability of renewable resource per period has been neglected. It was recently suggested that the quality of project should also be taken into consideration. Therefore, when renewable resources and quality are considered, the traditional DTCTP is extended to a new discrete resource quality constrained time cost-trade off problem (DRQTCTP), which involves renewable resources, non renewable resources and quality constraints. The objective of DRQTCTP involves the scheduling of project activities in order of minimizing the total cost of the project while maximizing the quality of the project and also meet a given deadline. An example is given for the DRQTCTP and it is observed that when subjected to same amount of nonrenewable resources, the optimal project cost in DRQTCTP is higher than that in traditional DTCTP but there is no change in quality.

In time-cost-quality trade-off problems, each act...
متن کاملTime, Cost and Quality Trade-off Analysis in Construction of Projects
The completion time and nonrenewable resources are traditionally considered for construction of project. When renewable resources, quality and some criteria considered for the project, the risk related to criteria has to be taken into account. Thus project planning problem can be defined as multicriteria decision problem under risk. In this paper, a project scheduling problem including time, co...

The purpose of this problem is to choose a set of project activities for crashing, in a way that the expected project time, cost and risk are minimized and the expected quality is maximized. In this problem, each project activity can be performed with a specific executive mode. Each executive mode is characterized with four measures, namely the expected time, cost, quality and risk. In this pap...

Project success is assessed based on various criteria, every one of which enjoys a different level of importance for the beneficiaries and decision makers. Time and cost are the most important objectives and criteria for the project success. On the other hand, reducing the risk of finishing activities until the predetermined deadlines should be taken into account. Having formulated the problem ...
